OK, you didn't say so but from the screenshots it seems likely that you're on a Windows host. You didn't say so but I'm going to guess that you're using VirtualBox 4.3.22, which has a known bug related to PXE booting specific to Windows hosts. 2 - Pass PXE requests on the to the tftp server running on that VM. I expect Virtualbox or QEMU would handle NAT'ing in a similar fashion - and it would just be a matter of pointing the PXE requests to the proper place.
Sending ProxyDHCP request to xxx.xxx.xxx.84 Me: xxx.xxx.xxx.76, DHCP: xxx.xxx.xxx.90, relay: xxx.xxx.xxx.1 Loading xxx.xxx.xxx.84:boot x86 wdsnbp.com.(PXE).done Downloaded WDSNBP. Architecture: x64 TFTP download failed I've turned off the hardware virtualization so that it reads 'Architecture: x86' just in case that was throwing it off somehow, but got no love.
Any ideas on this? I've googled around and it seems that people have been able to PXE boot and the only trouble they had was the boot image didn't have a PCNet II or III driver, which can be dealt with. I just need to be able to get to that point. So here's my virtual machine networking setup. Use Procmon on the server and filter for file system access and see which file isn't being pulled (PATHNOTFOUND or NAMENOTFOUND). It looks like that's the problem.
